Indians for Collective Action (ICA) is a San Francisco Bay Area nonprofit group.  We believe in a secure life for every Indian, in a sustainable environment and a just society. 

 

Since our inception in 1968, we have supported innovative community-led development projects in over 20 states of India and disbursed about $4.5 million to projects in India.  We work in partnership with dedicated social workers in India and the U.S.

It is our experience that projects always reflect the leadership – so we take great care to choose projects run by, or recommended by, activists with a track record of community service.  It is ICA’s practice only to work with those NGOs whose guiding principles are secular, non-partisan and democratic.
